佐志方城
さしかたじょう
築城年代は定かではないが佐志方氏(指方氏)によって築かれたと云われる。 佐志方氏は平安時代にはこの辺りに根付き戦国時代末期まで続いたという。
佐志方氏は戦国時代、大村氏、後藤氏ついで平戸松浦氏に属したという。
元亀3年(1572年)佐志方城代であった針尾三郎左衛門が大村氏に寝返ったため、平戸松浦隆信・鎮信父子は佐志方城を攻めたが、針尾三郎左衛門は佐志方城に籠城して堅く守ってこれを退けたという。
